Halford Cup

The Halford Cup was given to the club in 1925 by Halfords cycle shop, which used to be in Northgate Street. Originally awarded to the fastest rider in one of the club’s open 25 mile time trials it now goes to the fastest club rider over a distance of 50 miles. The first recipient of this award was C.A.Morris of the Speedwell Bicycle Club with a time of 1hr. 9mins. 32secs.
