Regarding the Dan Knight competition, please note the following:
The first Dan Knight counting event was held on the Chaxhill Course, which is much faster than Staunton/Corse one. An example is that Dan Kelly has a Chaxhill PB of 21m 52s whereas on Staunton it is 22m 54s. In consequence some riders improved their ‘club course’ PB. This effects the improvement points not only for this year’s competition but also for the next 3 years.
In the interests of fairer competition it has been decided that the first 10m held on the Chaxhill on May 25th will not count towards the Dan Knighty trophy. The final Dan Knight 10 will therefore be the event on 23rd August week at Staunton, already advertised as a Dan Knight reserve event. This will make up the necessary six events, of which the best four will count towards the Competition.
The results table, updated with these changes but of course without the results of the sixth counting event, is HERE and the position of riders who have completed at least three events is below. Dan Kelly is the clear leader, but competition for the lower placings between Matt Hill and Vince Douglas, and Daryl Stroud and Roger Whittle is close.
