Today’s tempo ride went to Goodrich. Five riders left the square, two young guns, two old guys and me. My Garmin told me there were five climbs, Mike Clements’ Wahoo was more accurate with thirteen. The ride to the coffee stop seemed very long, but we still arrived at 11am after riding through the beautiful countryside of the Gloucester/Hereford border. The cafe (Hen & Dots) was first class and then it was time for the most significant climb: up Cats Hill to Ruardean. After we tackled the hills it was time for ‘through and off’ up the A40 from Huntley to Gloucester. 50 miles in 3 hours.
