One of our members is infamous for trying to avoid bad weather, and has been known to disappear to nearby railway stations in search of transport back to Gloucester. Therefore, when those of us on Colin’s C ride looked from Gretton across the Cotswolds and saw the cloud down it was no surprise that he turned home. The rest of us were rewarded. The sun came out at the top of Stanway Hill, and it was beautiful passing through the Snowshill Lavender farm and down to Chipping Campden. The coffee stop at Ilmington Community Shop was new to us and was excellent. The club will definitely be returning. There was a race between GCCC and Kenilworth CC for the last piece of fruit cake, which GCCC won, and I can report that the cake was delicious.

Marie led an A ride to Defford Farm Shop (pictured) and arrived just before a load of other cycling clubs. Good service and food too. After that we went around some lanes to Upton to Queens hill and Bredon school before meeting the C group cycled home with them to cover 60 miles.
