A is for Aggs Hill, which everyone was pleased to have avoided.
B is for Bicycles, it need hardly be said, and for the recently reopened Brookfield Road bridge whose smooth surface we enjoyed as we crossed the Motorway.
C is for Charlton Kings, where we crossed our first ford of the day
D is for Dowdeswell reservoir which looked very dry, drained for maintenance apparently.
E is for Eight, the number of riders in today’s peloton.
F is for Fords, the second of which was crossed without incident or photos in Sevenhampton.
G is for the route home: Greet, Gretton, Gotherington, Gothic Farm, and finally Gloucester.
H is for Hayles Fruit Farm, whose tea and cakes were enjoyed after passing a minute’s silence in their car park
