Novice ride with no novices
Sunday 6th October and the weather forecast was fair. I thought it was going to be a fairly sparse turnout for the published ride (A Novice) but “low and behold” there was nine experienced riders who opted to share the ride, so no pressure with the route chosen then…....
Bird strike on the way to the Vintage Birdcage
The ride started with glancing blow on the shoulder from a seagull in Southgate Street. Although there was a flurry of feathers, the gull continued to gain altitude, and I remained on my bike, so I conclude that this was only an inconvenience. Another inconvenience...
Unexpected dry day in September
The weather was basically rubbish all week, not only in Gloucester but right across the world. So, the prospect of getting a reasonable ride out today was quite bleak. However, the weather forecast was quite promising today so maybe, just maybe it could be a dry day....
