Fifteen of us set off from the square on a bright (for a change!) but cold Sunday morning. We cycled down the Bristol Road and through Quedgeley and Stonebench and round the far side of the Elmore Longney loop. On reaching the Anchor at Epney we realised we had just missed seeing the Severn Bore.We then looped out through Framilode out to Frampton and then crossed the A38 with difficulty, I’ve never seen it so busy. At the Claypits lights we turned left through Eastington where Simon left us as he had a slow puncture. We then turned left at the George at Frocester by which point my hands and feet had warmed up. We went through Kings Stanley and on to the cycle track to Nailsworth, passing the statues outside the Damien Hurst warehouse. On reaching Nailsworth we decided to split up as there were so many of us, some going to The Canteen and some going to the Garden Centre. By this time it almost felt like summer! A pleasant end to our first sunny ride in a while.
