Club Hill Climb Championship

August 31, 2021 @ 7:00 pm - 7:30 pm

The climb is up the B4073 (Upton Hill) from the King’s Head pub to Watery Lane; 2.3 km long with an elevation gain of 147 metres to give an average gradient of 6.4%, but the flat and downhill sections mean that it feels a lot worse!

Late notices and changes before events will also appear on Facebook. Tonight’s winning Club member will be awarded the Ed Unsworth Trophy

The event is open to non members for an additional charge of £1.50 to obtain day membership.

From the CTT:

As most will be aware, the government has announced that England will move to the final stage of easing Covid restrictions on 19 July 2021. This means almost all legal restrictions on social contact will be removed. So far as time trials are concerned, the practical changes will affect event HQs (with result boards etc) and the ‘pusher off’.

The CTT Covid-19 risk assessment has been amended to reflect these changes. The amended risk assessment is on the CTT website under the COVID-19 tab on the homepage. www.cyclingtimetrials.org.uk/documents/index/covid-19

Despite this, the Club encourages riders to maintain social distancing and wear masks indoors. A checklist of our recommendations for participants, timekeepers, and organizers is available HERE

Please remember:

The threat of Covid-19 and the risk of infection does still remain. If you are not well or showing signs of Covid-19 then please do not attend at any CTT event.

If a person is unable to time keep / organize it is their responsibility to swap duties and inform the Racing Secretary.

Full season’s race calendar is available here
