Another dull and damp day with plenty of southwesterly wind say around 12 riders head south into the gale. The lanes were quite dirty after the recent heavy rains and Louise punctured near Cam. Following the repair we pushed on to Berkeley where a halt was called for coffee as we were out of time for the official destination at Falfield.
The after coffee route was brighter and a patch of blue sky was spotted. Round to Hill and Rockhampton, returning swiftly with a well earned tailwind to Berkeley, Wanswell and the A38. Then a lane over to Cam and the Railway for refreshments. % then made their way to the Cam Memorial Hall for the carol service and tea / cakes, all provided free by Stroud CTC. Many thanks to all. The return home on the A38 took advantage of the tailwind and Gloucester was reached as the light failed. 57 miles covered.
