Bruce Diesel won the race; he bridged across to a two man breakaway then attacked them 4 laps out (10 mins to go) and stayed away. In the bunch sprint Steve Brown nipped in for 10th for him to collect his first BC points. Pete Haberson was going strong as expected but suffered a puncture and had to withdraw, Oli Dammone also had chain issues. Also another plus point was Tom Tremlett who made his racing debut for GCCC who had only joined the club a few weeks back and only experience of group riding was two previous Sports Rides, on the job training!
