If ever there was proof that choosing the destination once you have a firm weather forecast enhances the enjoyment of the ride, then this week’s ride to Broadway Tower was that. We had everything, warm weather, fine views off the Cotswold edge, an excellent outdoor venue and a tailwind home.

Apart from a brilliant morning out, little to report. A mutiny over Ham Hill, resulted in us climbing the A40, which was probably for the best. The only mechanical was a leaky water bottle, resulting in rider dehydration.
