It took some digging in my kit drawer to find kit warm enough for today, as it has been buried all summer. Arriving in King’s Square, I found that some were less well prepared than me as they moaned about the cold. Ten of us set off, with half intending to go for coffee and the remainder looping back to Gloucester. With two of the best climbers in the Club amongst us, it was predictable that I would suffer on the lumpy road from Kempley to Upton Bishop, and unsurprising that I collapsed into my chair at our coffee stop.
Cake provided a bit of a boost as we took the scenic route home from Ross, via the Walford and Flaxley valleys. Glorious sunshine accompanied us, making an excellent end to a great morning out.
Now off to Rwanda (or at least my TV) for the Worlds.
