Nathan Monk won the road bike category in the Royal Dean Forest Club’s open 25 today on R25/7 with a time of 1h 5m 43s and in the ECAA Championship event held on the E2/50D2 at Newmarket Tim Radley set a new Club 50 mile record of 1h 42m 25s, beating the previous record of 1h 45m 16s set only last year by Tim Butler. This time also means a new Veterans on Standard record of 36m 13s at the distance. Daryl Stroud did a strong ride as well, finishing in 1h 57m 20s.

Three other Club riders rode the Newent event. Competing on TT bikes, Vince Douglas came 14th with 55m 12s, Tony Lake 20th with 57m 6s., and Roger Whittle 23rd place in 55m13s
