It was hoped that members would be content to read Spokespiece on the internet but this did not prove the case and it was agreed that hard copies would be posted to all except those who have specifically asked NOT for a hard copy. The list of hard copiers is growing and there is no problem with this (that’s what your subscription is for). However, to manage Club finances by reducing postage costs it is proposed that members are asked to collect their copy of Spokespiece and any others that may live near them. The collection point will be the Club’s HQ, the Gala Club, Fairmile Gardens, Longford, Gloucester GL2 9EB and Spokespiece will be available for collection at the Committee meeting on Wednesday 5th July at 7.10 pm. You may wish to stay on, have a drink and watch the Committee in action.
Some of you may already have received your copy by post as the Club has received a number of 1st and 2nd class stamps that will expire at the end of July. Some copies have also been delivered by hand (bike).
So please, if you can, come along to the Gala Club on 1 July to collect your copy. Copies not collected will then be posted in the normal way.
