Eight riders took on the challenge of the 3 Cities in the 102nd annual running of the event. They were rewarded with warm sunny weather.
On his 50th birthday, Tim Butler set a scorching pace to match the weather and ended up beating George Unsworth’s club record (set in 2007), by more than 2 minutes. Covering the 130km route in 03:18:13 to win The Boakes Shield

.
Vince Douglas continued his great form to set a personal best 03:36:43 for second place.
Justin Freeman secured The Three Cities Roadman’s Shield registering a time of 03:51:48 on his road bike.
A massive well done to all the riders who took part in our very own MONUMENT.
Also a huge thank you to Malcolm Grainger for timekeeping such a difficult event!
It was great to see club support out on the course and at the finish line
