Fine bright day, with a light-ish NW wind brought the crowds out, possibly the biggest turn-out in King’s Square so far this year. Seventeen on the Sports ride headed out towards Broadway. Two B rides to Falfield, each with about a dozen riders, one hilly and one staying in the Severn Valley, and a smaller AA ride to Cam.

Hilly B went out at a good pace up Stroud Road, and broke up on the hill. We turned right in Edge and re-grouped at the Bird-in-the-Hand junction, and headed down Whiteshill, ready to enjoy the delights of Selsley. The descent through Uley to Dursley is always fun, and the lanes from Stinchcombe to Tortworth are quiet, if poorly surfaced in places. The Eastwood Garden Centre provided refreshments that were enjoyed, by some at least, sitting outside in the warm sunshine.

Most returned directly up the A38, presumably dashing back for the Tour of Flanders. Review the route of the Hilly B ride here.
