As part of the Rapha 100. Seven ladies and one man(!) left Kings Square and headed for Tewkesbury via the usual lanes by Stoke Orchard. J took us on the cycle path into Tewkesbury. We then took the lanes to Croome Park. Myself and one other had two cakes and great coffee.
On the way out myself and J, led a moderate pace, protecting the other riders from the wind. On the way back, we need not have worried about fitness levels, since the ladies sped off and myself and J were off the back!
By the time we got back to Gloucester, I decided not to go to the pub (as had a date with my sofa). Unfortunately just as I was pleased I had a clean bike, the rain ‘chucked’ it down! It rained so hard, I could hardly see.
By the time I got back to Stonehouse I had done 82 miles and just over 3000ft of climbing.
The ride was another successful ladies event, enjoyed by all.
