Nothing to do with being a bit bonkers, apart from maybe the first climb of the day where the ride leader was heard to say “I still hate this bleep hill” to which he got “well you plotted it”, fair point! Anyway even after the first climb there was very little flat to our destination for coffee, the Nuttery in Notgrove, where nice coffee and cake were partaken of, by the five deserving riders.

After a bit of faff paying which seemed to be brought on by lack of internet connection for the card payment machine, we got back out on the road home via Withington, Dowdeswell, Charlton Kings, Leckhampton and the Shurdington Road. After previous weeks where the puncture fairy, or should that be gremlin, visited us, all went smoothly over the still lumpy terrain until in the final stretch on Ermin Street, where an electric derney overtook us, one of our number jumped onto the wheel, however when they realised the rest of the peloton had sat up, they backed off, that was the action done for the day, all in all an enjoyable outing into the Cotswolds.
