In these dark and grey months of winter it is nice to look back upon warmer days and remember how we spent last year, even if many of those memories are tainted by the tedium of lockdown or, worse, the experience of Covid-19 in one of its many variants. With three vaccine doses in less than a year let us hope we have done enough to be able to look forward to a more normal 2022, with a possibility for some of international adventures.
Naturally, this edition is mainly backwards looking, with a review of the season’s racing achievements, the Prize Giving and articles about the two trips to Newbury but I hope to have piqued some thoughts for goal setting in 2022 with a review of the Club’s records on the road for place to place and out and back rides, as well as the standard TT distances that are more frequently broken. There’s another picture quiz to tempt you away from looking just at the wheel in front of you and finally some of our members’ best racing perfromances of the year are listed.
