Congratulations go to Tim Butler who yesterday smashed the Club record for 50miles. It has long been held by George Unsworth, who set the benchmark of 1hr.48m.18s in 2009, Tim rode the Finsbury Park CC 50 ( (ECCA BAR) between Camborne and Cambridge to finish ninth in an outstanding 1hr. 45m. 16s. Team mate Tim Radley was close behind at 1hr. 49m. 50s. despite saying that he “Had no legs again today”. The Club’s super vet was also riding. At the grand old age of 82 John Murphy recorded an amazing 2hr. 35m. 04s.
