Four Riders left the square to set out on the Intermediate Ride. On a glorious autumnal morning they headed out on the A40 towards Birdwood. From here they turned left to proceed through Kents Green towards the beautiful Flaxley Valley, which was followed by a long climb up into Mitcheldean, then onto Ashton Crews, Kilcot & Newent.
We followed the lanes out of Newent towards Upleadon and Tirley then headed into Ashleworth, where it was decided to press on into Gloucester and stop at the lovely Deli Greek Cafe on Gloucester Lock for coffee & cake. It is hoped others will take up the opportunity to join this ride when the next one comes along.
40 miles , 2,700 ft of Climbing, averaging 14.8 mph.
