On what was predicted to be a very hot Sunday four riders (plus myself) set off from the Square to Hayles Fruit Farm. Prior to leaving we were alerted to the fact that we may be collecting another rider from the Chipping Campden so we were on the lookout for him. The group was very experienced so the pace was a little higher than posted, and being such a glorious day with the wind at our backs we made exceptional progress. Whizzing through Staverton we came across another rider (Simon) from the Tempo Ride who obviously decided that my route was more scenic (ha ha!!). We progressed through Stoke Orchard, Tredington, Gotherington, and Prescott in no time., and when we got to Gretton we picked up the new rider from the Chipping Campden group and adjusted our pace to ensure we all got to the coffee stop together. Just before we stopped at the coffee stop Simon decided to go up Salters Hill on his return back to Gloucester (I think he may need some therapy but is this only me!!), so we said goodbye to Simon and gratefully had our coffee break

At the coffee stop we ran into another rider who decided to return with us back to Gloucester. On the return we agreed to split the group, to accommodate the differing strengths of the riders, which enabled all riders to get home safely at their own pace.

A note to the weather must be mentioned with my computer showing 31 degrees C.
