Jubilee Dinner – NOW SOLD OUT

This year’s Annual Dinner and Presentation evening will be held at the Cheltenham Regency Hotel Staverton, Gloucester on Saturday 19th November 2016, commencing 6.30 for 7.30. As last year we have a choice of fare. In recognition of our Jubilee this year the format will differ slightly from precedent. We have special guest speakers this year with Dame Janet Trotter, the Lord Lieutenant of Gloucestershire, and Matt Stephens, a former road racer who now is a commentator on Eurosport and features in the Global Cycling Network videos.

Following the dinner there will be a smaller than usual presentation of prizes, the Raffle, and then a Disco to enable those who wish to have a bit of a dance to end the evening. The meal itself will have three courses and include coffee. A vegetarian option is available. There is a comprehensive wine list and, of course, the bar will be available with a choice of beers or alternative beverages. To encourage attendance at this gala event the committee has held the same price as last year: £20 per head and £10 for juniors. The cut-off date is 22nd October so be warned!!!. Cheques should be made payable to Gloucester City CC.

**The Hotel has also set aside 20 rooms in my name, & offering Double rooms for those who wish to stay overnight with Breakfast at £75 (not the previously advertised £70.00 per room). This offer is only available if you book up and pay a deposit 3 weeks prior to this function, but please mention (Nigel Jones booking) when you ring. This will then also allow you to continue drinking & chatting after in the bar if you so wish.

If you wish to attend, then as soon as possible please use the attached form to advise numbers and choice of food and return it to the Dinner Secretary either by mail or email. In addition, those who request it will be sent an individual letter and booking form. Please note however that numbered tickets will not be issued & there is a maximum limit of 140 people.

Each year, as you will all be aware, we hold a raffle after the presentation. It is a bit of fun and generates some funds for the club, but the success of this event depends very much on the generosity of our sponsor, local businesses and members. Should you wish to donate an appropriate prize, it would be much appreciated and will help to offset presentation and dinner expenditure.
