Four of us set off from the square down the Bristol road and across the canal to Elmore, after Longney turning right in Saul to do a little extra loop returning to Frampton. We then turned right down Frampton Green avoiding the Fair parked up for the Frampton Feast tomorrow. At Splat bridge we took the canal to Cambridge where we left the canal to go through Cambridge across the A38 to Cam and then to Coaley. At this point I realised we weren’t going to make Ebley for the start of the football so I gave the England supporters, Daryl and Jim, a choice to either stop at Frocester farm shop and see the start or go on to Ebley and miss the first 10 minutes. They chose to go to Ebley as they felt nothing much would happen in the 1st 10 minutes. Once we got to Ebley we watched the rest of the first half to see Spain score😯. At half time we rode back to Gloucester as quickly as we could to see as much of the second half as possible and managed to see the last 40 minutes. Unfortunately we lost but it was an entertaining if stressful match, worth rushing back for.
