The face says it all! The two endurance brothers left Kings Square on their own, heading for Tetbury. At Brookthorpe, we were joined by Ian Cole and James Reeves.
The four of us shared the wind out through Haresfield, Stonehouse and Kings Stanley out to Frocester. Along the way we encountered the ‘steady’ group and said hi. We all climbed Frocester Hill at our own pace, but contrived to lose contact with James, whilst he was taking a comfort break. From Cockadilly to Tetbury was super fast. We stopped to wait for James, but averaged 28mph along that stretch.
Nathan left us at Tetbury, so Ian and I continued with a 2-UP along the Cirencester Road to Coates. By that time my legs were mush.
Amazingly James caught us up on the climb from the Daneway and the three of us continued via Whiteway and Buckholt Wood.
Ian ran out of battery life on his gear change and so enjoyed some low cadences intervals.
