The prospect of having a level off road cycle route all the way from Gloucester to Stroud has come a step closer with the announcement of National Heritage Lottery Funding for the Stonehouse to Saul stretch of the Stroudwater Navigation Canal renovation. The A38 crossing work (pictured) is well under way and this funding will facilitate the two other major remaining crossings; the railway and the M5. Read the full press release here
