Well, what can I say. Four riders left Gloucester, with the two ladies leading the ride with their Garmin’s. The weather was cold, foggy and made that one hour less of sleep more annoying. Within a short time, one of the Garmin operators had a glitch. So, it was down to one person with the route (who actually wanted to go home!). It didn’t take long for doubt to creep in when we did a round tour of Newent (the wrong side of the A40). Luckily another rider on the original route was waiting for us, saw us near Dymock. Then suddenly we had two Garmin’s working correctly!

A rider left us, near Gorsely. The magnificent four rode three climbs  and made it to Lydney via Ruardean. Much needed coffee and food was enjoyed at Kaplan’s. The two guys regretted their big breakfast later on, after another two climbs. We returned via Yorkley and Littledean The weather improved greatly and represented spring. Everyone made it back to Gloucester, though not entirely sure where they had been, but it was enjoyed by all (I believe). If anyone is interested the two ladies are offering Mystery Tour day rides,at £500 per ride(per person).
