Although the sports ride and Tyndale ride were cancelled as a precaution after recent snow the President led four brave souls from the Square for the promised “Mystery” B ride. Croome Park being on the calendar, we made a brave effort to get there, having no trouble through the outskirts of Cheltenham and on to Bishop’s Cleeve. Woolston Lane was a different matter; like all the north-south oriented lanes it had caught the drifting snow from last week’s easterly wins and we resorted to the man road. 
Worse was to come at the B road to Aston Cross which was closed – a stalled car had prevented any clearance and so we resigned ourselves to a loop round and coffee at Ashchurch. Four decided they had had enough, but Neville shamed everyone by looking for more miles and, if the lane was passable, another point for the Dancey Trophy by calling in at The Boat.
