A wintry ride

The vice captain reports on the Sunday ride, 21st January:

One Italian Club member and part-time weather forecaster described this Sunday’s conditions as “Biblical”. I take issue with this, as I don’t think the bible mentions Noah having to deal with snow as well as rain. Three bold, or perhaps foolish, riders met in King’s Square, and collectively made a decision to have a short non-stop ride. Having observed cars coming from the Forest with snow on them, it was also decided to stay low, so we went out on the lanes via “The Old Spot” and “Odessa” to Tewkesbury, then back to Rye Cross, Pendock and Staunton.

Overall, the best part of the ride was probably the shower afterwards.
