Chapeau to the club riders out in the yesterday’s winds, courtesy of storm Doris. Wind strengths of up to 94 mph were reported, with innumerable and unfortunately sometimes fatal incidents.
Ken reported it to be a memorable experience. After abandoning plans to cross the Severn Bridge, which was of course closed, Paul changed their ride destination to Colwall: 62 miles at an average 14 mph – unbelievable figures, but a real achievement in the circumstances.
