The latest edition of Spokespiece is avaiable to view and download HERE. It features the first two candidates for the McLeod Trophy; reports on the Club’s tour to Marlborough and the Pollington’s tour of the Lincolnshire Wolds. It also has a review of our Veteran’s 2023 TT season and a look forward to exciting proposed changes to the Club’s evening time trials. There’s an update on the Highways Department’s work on the Gloucestershire Cycle Spine and by way of contrast a look back to a completely different sort of off road cycling in the Rhinog mountains in 1960! Members who have not opted out of physical distribution will receive a paper copy in due course. However, unless they specifically request that service this will be the last copy they receive.
In recent years the Club has by default sent all members a paper copy of Spokespiece. The convenience of having it to hand, of being able to drop in and out of reading it in idle moments is undeniable; but so is the rising cost of printing and distribution. The Committee has therefore decided that in future the paper copy will only be sent to members who request it. If you are one please contact the General Secretary, requesting that you remain on the circulation list. His email is gloscitycc.vc@gmail.com. The web edition will continue to be available to all at the Club’s website.
As always, this edtion has been added to the Club’s archive of newsletters, which has every edition from 1997 to the present day. It’s amazing that there are over twenty five years of activity at our fingertips to review during these dark winter evenings.
