Our first official Saturday club ride for a great many years rolled out from Gloucester at 9:30, with six riders heading off under bright blue skies. It was a little chilly at the start, but the sunshine made for a truly gorgeous morning on the bike.

The route took us out through Staverton towards Bishop’s Cleeve, before continuing towards Winchcombe, enjoying some lovely Cotswold views along the way. The group rode at a steady, social pace, covering just over 63 km with 475 m of climbing. A well-earned coffee stop was made at Black Gold Café & Deli in Bishops Cleeve, which proved to be a great place to refresh and refuel. Shortly before the café stop one rider unfortunately picked up a minor puncture and decided to head back, while the rest of the group continued on to complete the loop.

A lovely ride, great company, and a brilliant way to kick off our Saturday club ride season. 🚴‍♂️☀️
