Four ladies left the square, feeling perhaps this was the last ‘ladies’ ride’. Though later decided we would run it again in a different capacity. Both riders who had the course on their Garmins, discovered the route was going to take us on every single cycle path to Berkeley!

We ignored this and took to the roads. The ride leader thought she was training for the ladies ‘tour of Britain’. Thus we trundled along at a pace along Elmore and Saul.
When we got to Frampton On Severn we tried several roads, to find they all led to tracks or the canal. Since we all mostly had gravel bikes, we decided to return to the main road!
At the cafe in Berkeley, we were dismayed we had to sit outside! Though the coffee and cake helped our suffering. We all returned much the same way as we came in and the ride leader discovered she had a slow puncture.
