Sports Ride Frocester-Wotton-Berkeley

Sunday’s Sports Ride, at least for those who are aren’t marshalling or competing in the T.G.Hall open 25 TT will be heading towards Wotton Under Edge, followed by a coffee at Spago Creperia near the docks, all the usual rules apply as necessary, and the meeting place is now outside the post office in Kings Square. Also remember all the cycling etiquette on these rides ,and please wait at the top of any climbs to re-assemble as a group, so that we go out toge,ther as a group and return together.

British Cycling has advised that organized groups of fifteen are permitted under the Government’s regulations, but the Committee considers this too many to ride together on open roads, not least because of the obstruction it could cause to motor traffic. Instead, we shall ride in smaller groups, the size and composition of which will be decided by the ride leaders at the meeting point. At the meeting point, and any stops along the route, guidelines on social distancing will still apply so please do not approach other riders too closely. Pace is brisk, typically averaging 20mph or more. Bring mudguards if road or weather is wet.
