Once again the dinner went well. Fifty five guests had booked, and there were no cancellations. Food and venue were great, with a lot of members saying how pleased they were with it. Introduced by the Club Speaker, Matt Hill, our guest speaker, Jake Sargent, did very well on his first speaking occasion, entertaining us with his thoughts on training, commuting (apparently much the same thing) and riding a 12 hour time trial. Perhaps he has encouraged others to emulate him?

Thanks go to all the organisers and helpers, especially Marie for managing the whole event, Colin for sorting the money out and doing the programmes, Malcolm for his work during the dinner, Tesh for the raffle prizes he donated, Daryl for getting all the trophies engraved and setting up on the night, Alistair for sorting the flowers out, Simon and Toby for selling the tickets, and Liz and Sandra for folding them and and Joanna for being in the background learning the ropes for next year. Thanks also to everyone who might have been overlooked and congratulations to all the winners: racers, tourists, and raffle ticket holders.

Below are some photographs of the event.
