DESCRIPTION:The distance is typically 50-60 miles non stop (post ride coffee optional). Pace is brisk\, typically averaging 20mph or more. Bring mudguards if road or weather is wet. \nNote that although this is race training the rules of the road still apply. Be courteous to other road users and ease the pace when going through built up areas. Remember: \n\nIt’s not a race\, it’s training\nAim for a maximum group size of no more than six\, and space groups two minutes or more apart\nEveryone should work together but ride through smoothly and ease off when you come off the front\nHave fun\, be safe\, and follow the Club’s Covid guidelines. DESCRIPTION:See club website for course information. Late notices and changes before events will also appear on Facebook. The evening time trials count towards season long  competitions as noted in the event category below. These are the Club Events Best App Rounder (CEBAR)\, the overall winner of which is awarded the Paul Barnard Trophy\, and the Dan Knight Trophy. There are categores within the CEBAR competion for Ladies\, Seniors and Veteran riders in various age groups. \nThis is a roadman’s event: Aero helmets\, Wheels rims deeper than 50mm (excluding tyres)\, skinsuits\, lo-pro frames\, etc. may be used but each will add one minute to the rider’s time. \nThe event is open to non members for an additional charge of £1.50 to obtain day membership. \nCOVID requirements\nMaintain 2 m social distancing at all times and bring with you to the event: \n\n\n\nPen\nMeans of contactless payment\nFace mask\nRear light (mandatory)\nFront light (advisory)\nSafety pins (to attach race number)\n\n\n\nAt the event remember: \n\n\n\nSign-on using your own pen and whilst wearing a face covering\nNo cash will be accepted\nNo rear light – no ride (CTT regulation)\nDo not congregate at the start – arrive at the start no more than 5 minutes before your start time\nAt the finish\, ride directly to your vehicle (or home)\nDo not approach the timekeeper – results will be posted online and are not available at the event\nAfter the race; place race number in bowl containing cleaning solution\n\n\n\nA checklist for participants\, timekeepers\, and organizers is available HERE \nIf a person is unable to time keep / organize it is their responsibility to swap duties and inform the Racing Secretary. \nFull season’s race calendar is available here

DESCRIPTION:An early evening chain gang ride for members only on roads North of Gloucester. Although the aim is to get back before dusk please ensure that you have lights when needed. Early season rides will cut across the river Severn at Haw Bridge and return via Ashleworth. As the evenings lengthen a longer route on the A38 to Tewkesbury\, A438\, B4211 and A417 will be used. This shorter route will also be used for a ladies’ chain gang that will leave after the men’s group. \nIt’s a full on fast ride for 23 miles from Longford to Tewkesbury & back to Maisemore via Corse Lawn designed for riders capable of keeping up with serious amateurs for 20+ miles. Groups will split into different abilities as required but if you drop off you must be able and willing to find your own way home. There will probably be an opportunity for a takeaway coffee and snack at Hopewell Colliery or Beechenhurst Lodge but this cannot be relied upon. We advise riders to come prepared for any eventuality by bringing a means of making a contactless payment\, a face mask\, and a snack. The usual optional pub stop may be replaced by a visit to a private garden\, depending on interest and weather.
