SUMMARY:Evening Ride out and back\, stopping at Whiteshill
DESCRIPTION:A circular ride out and back\, stopping at The Star Inn for a drink. \nBritish Cycling has advised that organized groups of fifteen are permitted under the Government’s regulations\, but the Committee considers this too many to ride together on open roads\, not least because of the obstruction it could cause to motor traffic. Instead\, we shall ride in smaller groups\, the size and composition of which will be decided by the ride leaders at the meeting point. At the meeting point\, and any stops along the route\, guidelines on social distancing will still apply so please do not approach other riders too closely. \nThe ride will finish after dusk so bring your best lights.

SUMMARY:Training Ride
DESCRIPTION:Club rides\, Sport rides\, and Training rides are being held on a normal basis. Descriptions of each can be found on our WHICH RIDE? page. Details of the training ride will be posted here a day or two beforehand. \nNow that Covid Regulations have been relaxed we are required to use our own judgement on appropriate and responsible behaviour. The Club reminds members that when in Club kit they are ambassadors not just for the Club but also for the cycling community. Accordingly they should be considerate of their fellow members and members of the public. Not everyone has the protection of two inoculations so please respect the space of others and take a mask on your ride to use indoors.

SUMMARY:Chain Gang
DESCRIPTION:An early evening chain gang ride for members only on roads North of Gloucester. Although the aim is to get back before dusk please ensure that you have lights when needed. Early season rides will cut across the river Severn at Haw Bridge and return via Ashleworth. As the evenings lengthen a longer route on the A38 to Tewkesbury\, A438\, B4211 and A417 will be used. The shorter route will also be used for a ladies’ chain gang that will leave after the men’s group. \nIt’s a full on fast ride for 23 miles from Longford to Tewkesbury & back to Maisemore via Corse Lawn designed for riders capable of keeping up with serious amateurs for 20+ miles. Groups will split into different abilities as required but if you drop off you must be able and willing to find your own way home. Watch the video here. \nNote that although this is race training the rules of the road still apply. Be courteous to other road users and ease the pace when going through built up areas. Remember: \n\nIt’s not a race\, it’s training\nTry and keep it to groups of no more than eight\, even if it means three groups\nEveryone should work together but ride through smoothly and ease off when you come off the front\nSet off at two minute intervals and make sure each group waits for everyone in the group to get across the first roundabout\nDon’t start the chain until past Twigworth\nIt’s for members only\nEase up through Tewkesbury town and when you meet the A417 at Corse\nHave fun and be safe

DESCRIPTION:See club website for course information. Late notices and changes before events will also appear on Facebook. A checklist of our recommendations for participants\, timekeepers\, and organizers is available HERE \nPlease remember: \nThe threat of Covid-19 and the risk of infection does still remain.  If you are not well or showing signs of Covid-19 then please do not attend at any CTT event. \nIf a person is unable to time keep / organize it is their responsibility to swap duties and inform the Racing Secretary. \nFull season’s race calendar is available here
