SUMMARY:C & Sport Rides to Hay on Wye & Black Mountains NOTE START TIME
DESCRIPTION:The planned 7:00 departure has been cancelled due to weather forecast.;  The Sport Ride will set off later\, at 8 am\, and ride at a faster pace than the Club Ride\, but will stop for coffee. See HERE for more information\, Note that this is the annual pilgrimage to The Black Mountains\, which some riders may choose to cross off road\, following a Club tradition. The day will be a long one\, at least a hundred miles\, and food stops are few and far between. Make sure you carry snacks and perhaps more spares than usual. \nThe 08:00 faster departure will follow the route below.  If the weather proves as bad as some forecasts\, we may cut short to Ross. \nDestinations are posted in advance and can be downloaded to your smart phone’s calendar (see buttons below) or as a pdf from here if you want a  hard copy. All rides count to the Dancey Trophy. Sign the attendance book or be noted as present at the coffee / lunch stop if you wish to compete. \nIf you would like to know more about what to expect on our Sunday rides see here and for a list of events similar to this one click on event tags below. SUMMARY:Training Ride
DESCRIPTION:The Club’s training ride meets in Kings’ Square. The route will be added below\, a day or two before the ride. \nTraining Rides are around three hours with a coffee stop at the end in or around Gloucester. Average Speed of about 19-21 mph. \nTraining Rides DO NOT follow Club Ride rules\, in that although they always regroup after a climb\, participants must be prepared to be dropped on the run in back to Gloucester over the last 5-10 miles\, if it speeds up at the end of the ride. They do not usually stop for coffee until the end of the ride. Participants need to be capable of 20+ mph bunch riding for at least 3 hours.
