ROAD RACE TROPHIES
The trophies available to the Road Racing club members are listed below. Again, they need to be claimed - so keep a good record of your achievements!
The Idris David Trophy.
This goes to the winner of the Club Road Race Championship, and is decided by the
club member accumulating the most points on their BCF licence. A maximum of six events to
count, all events to be open to 1st category riders. The 1999 holder was Neil Platts. And Neil won again in 2000. Not awarded in 2001.
The Prestbury Cancer Centenary Trophy.
The winner of the Criterium Championship takes this one. A maximum of ten events to
count to the points. Not awarded in 1999, 2000 or 2001.
Following discussion at the November Committee meeting it was agreed to change this trophy
to be for the best placed Gloucester City rider in the Cotswold Cycle Racing League. To be
implemented for 2002 season and to be ratified by the 2002 AGM.
