CLUB RIDES POINTS - DANCEY TROPHY HISTORIC RESULTS

This is a tourists trophy, gained by the most consistent attendance on the club rides. All rides on the Runs List count, being mainly Sundays, but also club tours and official mid-week outings. A point is allocated for riders starting at the Square, riding with the club run and stopping for coffee. A further point is available for official lunch stops (which may be changed on the day by the ride leader / Captain or otherwise appropriate people) and occasional official tea stops. Those attending the Sports Ride get a point - even though this is a social affair! To make sure you count just sign the runs book. Competition commences 1/9, ends 31/08.

2008 / 2009 Season

Martyn is declared the winner and Neville held off a strong challenge to retain second position. Meanwhile Sean Townsend grabbed best Junior position to take the award ahead of Charlie Bilton - by just one point!

The juniors in order of points:

2007 / 2008:  Captain Dave took the lead back in September - and never looked back! A well deserved winner of the trophy. Aaron Preece took the Junior Trophy - but it was a close call with Matthew Stevens just one point behind!

2006 / 2007 Season - the final result

The Vice-Captain still has taken the prize in fine style! The two Daves were left in his wake.  Well done Martyn! Rupert Denny bagged the Junior trophy.

 

2005 / 2006 Season

August is the last month that is counted for the trophy to be presented at the annual dinner and so we see that the then captain retains the trophy for another year. This is quite remarkable considering that he suffered a serious injury causing him to be absent from club runs for the last 6 weeks of this years competition. It’s well past time he developed another interest!  Another remarkable effort was Toby dark-side Wooldridge, sneaking in for second place and a medal!

2004 / 2005 Season

Mr Lesser has the win by a record margin! Toby slumped in the final month for Theo to nip in and grab second place and a medal.

2003 / 2004 Season

Well well, a draw! Who would have thought it! Daryl caught theo on the line - a mighty effort!

2001 / 2002 SEASON
FINAL POSITION FOR 2001 / 2002.
Dave Lesser is THE WINNER, by 5 points - with Daryl missing out on the final 3 pointer. Well done to Dave, a concerted effort in the summer established him in the lead. Bring on next year!
