TG HALL 30 MILE TIME TRIAL - RESULTS AND PRIZE WINNERS 2003

A splendid morning on the A38 -  conditions were sunny and dry, temperatures rising but not enough to cause problems. No wind in particular - the return leg may have been slightly harder.  
Paul Osborne was a clear winner ahead of team-mate Dave Dickerson. First placed vet went to the super-fast Dave Keene, putting in yet another great display. So good in fact that he also won the 'Best Coordinated Rider and Machine' prize.  Team prizes excluded the top 3 Seniors and top 5 vets (where individual prizes were awarded). Dursley RC took top spot ahead of VC Bristol.  Severn RC had another good day out with 5th overall (3rd Vet) and 1st Lady (a PB for Claire).
The additional prizes were made possible thanks to sponsorship from the C&G and donations from Slipstreams.   The full list of prize winners can be viewed below the results listing.
Numbers of entries were down on 2002 - possibly as the event was not a Hardrider counting event. Hopefully it will be reinstated next year and we shall see what happens...
My thanks go to the marshals at Hardwick and Whitminster round-a-bouts. Despite their best endeavours 3 riders attempted to pay a visit to the BP Service station but were diverted back on course in the nick of time!  Also to the Timekeepers, start stewards, finish area and HQ Girls. With this crew the event went smoothly and allowed me the pleasure (?!) of riding the event as well as organising.
We take rider safety seriously - there were 6 marshals and 14 warning triangles out on the course to try and ensure traffic joining the A38 would be aware. Beyond that it is up to the riders to act reasonably.
Back next year - I will be, make sure you are too.
