2009 / 2010 Season :

The leaderboard after six events:  The battle continues between Toby and Theo! Toby has played his joker (organising an event) - so it's his advantage...maybe.  Theo's magnificent display of judging speed has kept him in contention but the tiebreaker was required to split the two at the Treasure Hunt!  It's down to the pub outings - I think I know who has that in the bag...!

Round 5: Speedjudging competition.  12 entrants took to the starting gun, most ably handled by our own John Barnes. A dull and breezy evening had not deterred four newcomers to the delights of Bully Lane and the test of cycling at 10 and then 15 miles per hour, unaided by external implements. Malcolm provided us with evidence of how not to compete on a fixed, amassing a discrepancy of 3m28s. Joung racer Adam also fell foul of the speed, coming in with 3m15s. A highly creditable effort by first-timer Mark gave him 2nd place (and a sound beating of son Adam) with 1m20s whilst Ann Barnes was 3rd with 1m27s.  But out in front by an impressive margin was Theo with a superb difference of 0m15s. Wow!

Round 4: Freewheeling competition.  A large group took to the newly surfaced lane from Woolrige Hill towards Maisemore and this combined with a tailwind saw a course record: Simon Chapman just made it over the hill!  Gary was not far behind followed by current Trophy holder Toby. Theo lost points with Adam Bedall just pipping him for 4th.
