DAN KNIGHT TIME TRIAL RESULTS 2004

At each designated Dan Knight 10, points (10, 8, 6, 4, 3, 2 & 1) are awarded to the first 7 fastest times plus points for the 7 best improvers on their Personal Bests (PBs on the club course). If you have never raced on this course before you are given a time of 30 mins. If there are less than 7 improvers, the points go to those who have gone back the least - so all points are awarded. The Dan Knight competition tends to favour the beginner as they should improve the most.
There are 6 Dan Knight 10s but only the best 4 count : You MUST ride at least 4 events - or your score will not count in the final analysis.
The dates for 2004 are : 7/4 ; 5/5 ; 19/5 ; 02/6 ; 7/7 - cancelled so replaced with 28/07 ; 11/8.

Final Position after 6 events :

OVERALL: Well done to Ian - well secure in top slot to bag the money. Gery was safe in second and could afford to miss the final event. John popped up into fourth place.

6th Dan Knight '10' - actually a 5.6 mile event, 11/08/2004. Conditions : Warm and a light wind from the SE. Almost sunny - nice and dry - again! Helpers: Phil Ashby and John Godley (timekeepers) ; John Jarvis (pusher-off).
The shortened event (traffic lights in operation on Claypits) proved quite a hit with some of the riders - so we may convert a couple of events next year to a 5 mile course here. George continued his good form to win by 7 seconds ahead of Ian whilst brother Ed nicked third position ahead of Andy.

No less than NINE Personal Best times on this course - in bold below, well done indeed, lads and lasses! And comiserations to the two that equalled their previous PB - Ian and Toby. Every second counts!
