CLUB TIME TRIALS - BACKGROUND AND RESULTS 2008

Background details
The full programme of time trials was issued with the last Spokespiece but spare copies are available - see Club TT page.
Entry is £2.00 per ride.
The 25's are all on the  Maisemore - Ledbury and back course ; the 10's are on the Corse / Staunton circuit.
Don’t forget to shout your number at the finish. And NO U-turns at the start / finish - you will be disqualified.

RESULTS FOR 2008:

Event 18: Dan Knight 10, 13/08/2008.  Wet, windy and all round disappointing for the last 10 of the club season. Oh well, there's always next year!

Event 17: CEBAR  3 Cities , 10/08/2008.  A rather windy and at times (mainly around Hereford) wet outing for 4 brave cyclists.  Nathan took the wrong turn at Tewkesbury (normally people get lost in Worcester or Hereford!) and then punctured in the rain just before Hereford! Guy charged round on his first outing of this great event. Young Claire, also on her first solo 3 Cities race, did well too.

Event 16: CEBAR  CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP 25 mile TT, 06/08/2008.  The evening was dark but dry with a nagging wind from all over really. This did not make for particularly fast times - but it was experienced by all competitors. A field of 15 riders came out to play on the last 25 of thwe club events season. Club Champions are: Guy Preece (Mens and Vets); Claire Taylor (Ladies). Well done to them!

Event 15: CEBAR and Dan Knight CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP 10 mile TT, 30/07/2008.  A better evening with a light westerly - and how the times improved for the penultimate 10 and Club Championship. A field of 20 riders were enticed down to battle it out. Club Champions are: Guy Preece (Mens and Vets); Claire Taylor (Ladies); Rupert Denny (Junior). Well done to them!

Event 14: Dan Knight 10 mile TT, 23/07/2008.  A boiling hot evening with heavy air made for a slow event.

Event 13: 25 mile TT, 16/07/2008.  I am informed the evening was a delight.

Event 12: Circuit of Pendock, 09/07/2008.  A third right nasty evening for the final event on this circuit - dodged by bad luck this year. So only 3 brave souls made the treck.

Event 11: 25 mile TT, 02/07/2008.  Reasonably windy, particularly on the return leg to the finish, and a little damp near Ledbury - but with interesting views of May Hill, wrapped in cloud.  Credit to Malcolm G for breaking under 1.10, to David B on his first 25 ever and bettering evens, and to young Clare romping round on a 'heavy' bike.

Event 10: Dan Knight 10, 25/06/2008  A windy evening but dry saw a number of good rides and PB's on the course. Not good for Guy, puncturing at an inopportune moment. Well done to Matt for breaking inside 30 minutes for the first time - with a long 28!
