Excellent turn out for what seemed to be the warmest day of the year so far. We even saw a few riders in shorts!

There was a well attended sports ride with “a lot of pace within the group when it mattered”, a B ride to Great Malvern that was so large it had to be split into two groups so that cars could safely pass, and an A ride that was combined with an outing of theTyndale CC and a British Cycling endorsed Breeze ride. This group dined at Staunton, and the picture shows some ot them enjoying a well earned cuppa. Marie C led the ladies in the Breeze ride and was accompanied by the gentlemen of Tyndale CC in period costume (including their cycles) and other Club members.

The Malvern riders enjoyed a circuitous route through back lanes, courtesy of Malcolm Grainger, that cleverly hid riders from the Northerly wind. Mac & Jac’s cafe did well to satisfy everyone – even Paul B was happy with his poached eggs, and he judges to a very high standard. After elevenses the group split up to enjoy the tailwind and regrouped, in part at least, at the Old Spot where sunshine and beverages were enjoyed.
